Job Description:

Head of Ecommerce - EMEA

Are you an ecommerce leader who thrives in high-growth environments?

Do you combine commercial acumen with deep technical and operational ecommerce expertise?

Ready to build on a strong foundation and take ownership of a thriving D2C and marketplace business across Europe?

We’re partnering with a globally respected consumer goods business whose ecommerce channels have delivered exceptional year-on-year growth. With the previous Head of Ecommerce promoted internally, the business is now seeking a commercially astute and technically confident Head of Ecommerce, EMEA to take the reins and drive the next phase of strategic growth.

This is a pivotal role in a digitally mature, brand-led organisation. You’ll inherit a high-performing team and a robust ecommerce infrastructure, with full ownership of both D2C and Amazon channels across multiple European markets. Based in Newcastle on a hybrid basis, you’ll be central to scaling revenue, deepening localisation, and leading the digital trading strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the EMEA ecommerce strategy across direct-to-consumer, Amazon Vendor, and wider marketplace platforms.
  • Drive pan-European growth through new territory launches, market-specific localisation, and digital innovation.
  • Own channel performance and identify new growth opportunities across trading, customer experience, and fulfilment.
  • Drive sales across D2C and marketplace channels, accountable for ecommerce P&L performance.
  • Use data platforms like GA4, Glew, and Microsoft Clarity to monitor and optimise trading performance.
  • Collaborate with marketing to align PPC, social, and CRM (via Klaviyo), leveraging social profiling tools (e.g. Experian Mosaic) to personalise journeys and boost engagement.
  • Oversee performance across BigCommerce (or Shopify), Amazon Vendor (direct fulfilment model), Miracle, and multichannel OMS such as Linnworks or Mintsoft.
  • Champion customer experience and digital excellence across all ecommerce touchpoints, with a focus on CRO, UX/UI, site speed, and mobile performance.
  • Lead and develop a lean, talented ecommerce team, with scope for future expansion.
  • Partner cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, IT, and commercial teams to align trading, fulfilment, and digital strategy.

What We're Looking For:

  • Senior-level ecommerce leadership experience within consumer goods or a fast-paced, product-led environment.
  • Proven success scaling D2C and Amazon Vendor channels, including new territory launches and pan-European localisation.
  • Operational and commercial depth across ecommerce trading, analytics, fulfilment, and digital marketing.
  • Hands-on with tools and platforms such as BigCommerce, Shopify, GA4, Microsoft Clarity, Miracle, Glew, Klaviyo, and Amazon Vendor Central (direct fulfilment model).
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • A passionate and pragmatic leader who can pick up a strong legacy and take it further.
