Job Profile

As the Head of Business Development / BD Director, you will drive company growth by developing new business relationships, working closely with the CEO, CTO, and Head of Chemistry. Your role involves identifying partners, negotiating contracts, and managing projects from conception to delivery, spanning commercial, technical, IP, and legal domains.

Responsibilities
  1. Identify and target new business opportunities in construction and electric vehicle sectors.
  2. Lead outreach and development of projects integrating Thermulon’s aerogels into products with commercial partners.
  3. Collaborate with the COO, CTO, and Head of Chemistry to define project outcomes, timelines, and budgets.
  4. Negotiate joint development or supplier agreements, focusing on IP considerations.
  5. Manage internal teams and build relationships with stakeholders and customers.
  6. Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform strategies.
  7. Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from concept to delivery.
Requirements
  • Technical degree in chemistry, materials science, or engineering (Masters preferred).
  • 3-7+ years experience in business development or similar roles.
  • Experience negotiating agreements with IP considerations.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement commercial strategies.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
