Job summary

Zertus UK & Ireland is seeking a commercially-minded Head of Procurement (Directs) to own the direct materials sourcing strategy across UK & Ireland. You will lead a team of procurement professionals, shape strategy, influence senior stakeholders and build strong supplier partnerships while delivering commercial value across the business.

Based at a manufacturing site with hybrid working, you will travel 2–3 days per week across UK & Ireland sites and occasionally internationally.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in FMCG/food manufacturing.
• Experience building and executing direct materials sourcing strategies.
• Proven track record of delivering cost savings and value creation.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders up to board level.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of procurement professionals and category leaders.
• Develop and execute the UK & Ireland direct materials procurement strategy.
• Drive cost savings, PPV delivery, rebates and working capital improvements.
• Build strategic supplier partnerships to improve quality, innovation, service and sustainability.
• Manage commodity and category strategies across key raw materials spend areas.
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Technical, Commercial and Finance teams.
• Support innovation projects through sourcing and supplier collaboration.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and maintain continuity of supply.
