Job summary

Zertus UK & Ireland is seeking a commercially minded Head of Procurement (Directs) to own the direct materials sourcing strategy across the UK & Ireland. You will lead a team of procurement professionals, shaping strategy, influencing senior stakeholders and building supplier partnerships while delivering commercial value across sites in the UK and Ireland and beyond.

The role involves 2–3 days travel per week across UK/IE sites plus some international travel, with a competitive salary, 15%

Qualifications

Significant procurement leadership experience in FMCG or manufacturing.
Experience leading high-performing procurement teams.
Proven ability to create and execute procurement strategies.
Strong direct materials, commodity buying and category management expertise.
Track record of delivering cost savings and supplier management.
Experience influencing senior stakeholders up to board level.
Degree or CIPS qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of procurement professionals to execute sourcing strategies.
Create and deliver UK & Ireland direct materials procurement strategy.
Drive cost savings, PPV delivery, rebates and working capital improvements.
Build strategic supplier partnerships for quality, innovation and sustainability.
Mitigate supply risks and ensure continuity of supply.
Collaborate with Ops, Supply Chain, Technical, Commercial and Finance teams.
