We are delighted to be recruiting for a new and exciting role of
Head of Digital Services and Systems to support our ambitious plans.
In this role you will be accountable for leading the design and delivery of the Council’s ambitious and exciting, digital transformation programme. You will play a pivotal role in enabling the Council to achieve its strategicobjectives through digital innovation and system improvement.
Working with services across the Council to support them on their digital transformation journey, is at the heart of this role, as is re-imagining traditional service delivery to transform and enhance the customer experience whilst reducing costs, whether it’s through improving how the Council interacts with residents, by increasing engagement and productivity or in creating new service opportunities.
Our Council is one of three Local Authorities who have been selected to take part in an AI Pilot with National Government, therefore you will also have the unique opportunity of leading on this exciting project.
You’ll be a proven digital and technology professional, confident in advising and influencing leaders and key stakeholders, communicating digital and technology concepts in a clear and concise way. You’ll have experience working with a range of suppliers, partners, and services and recognise that technology alone won’t deliver the outcomes we want to see.
You’ll know how to get the best out of people and ideally have experience of working in a complex, political or public sector environment. You’ll have in-depth knowledge of service management frameworks, processes, and best practices, with a focus on the continuous professional development of yourself and others.
