Job description

High growth ecommerce business based in Yorkshire is looking for a brand new Head of Digital Marketing.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Create a culture of innovation, testing, and continuous improvement to ensure marketing efforts are data-driven, customer-centric, and collaborative.
  2. Develop digital marketing strategies to drive customer acquisition, revenue, and brand awareness.
  3. Oversee all digital channels, including paid social, PPC, SEO, affiliates, and programmatic advertising.
  4. Evaluate and implement new channels, tools, and technologies for continual improvement.
  5. Establish KPIs, monitor performance, and ensure effective attribution models.
  6. Manage relationships with digital and creative agencies.
  7. Lead and grow a high-performing marketing team.
  8. Utilize analytics, customer insights, and market research to inform strategic decisions and identify growth opportunities.
  9. Maintain a customer-first approach in all campaigns to enhance the brand experience.
Role Requirements:
  1. Proven track record as Head of Digital Marketing, preferably within a subscription-based, PE-backed, fast-paced D2C or ecommerce environment.
  2. Extensive knowledge of digital marketing channels including paid social, PPC, affiliates, SEO, and programmatic advertising.
  3. Strong analytical skills to interpret data, derive insights, and inform decisions.
  4. Experience managing large marketing budgets and multiple agency relationships.
  5. Leadership experience in building and developing marketing teams.
  6. Familiarity with marketing tools such as Google Analytics, automation platforms, advertising platforms, and BI dashboards.
  7. Strategic thinker aligned with business objectives.
  8. Innovative mindset focused on testing, learning, and scaling new ideas.
  9. Excellent communication skills to influence teams, partners, and stakeholders.
  10. Collaborative team player in cross-functional environments.
  11. Customer-first approach to campaign development.
  12. High emotional intelligence for relationship building and team motivation.
