Job summary

Highgate School is seeking a Senior Operational Lead and Team Manager in the Development Office to drive a new growth strategy and advance major gift opportunities. You will shape and lead a multi-channel fundraising programme, and line-manage the team delivering this critical work, transforming the charity’s role within the school.

You will deputise for the Director, build capacity, and collaborate with colleagues across the school to maximise fundraising impact and donor engagement.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience within a Development/Alumni or fundraising team.
• Experience designing and delivering multi-channel fundraising programmes.
• Ability to recruit and develop staff and build capacity within a growing team.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Director of Development to drive fundraising growth and build departmental capacity, culture, systems and brand.
• Manage and inspire a talented team through a period of growth, including recruiting a Philanthropy Manager.
• Design and implement mid-level and legacy fundraising programmes.
• Oversee the operational infrastructure to support a multi-channel fundraising programme, including services and reporting.
• Champion philanthropy across the School and deputise for the Director at external events.
• Act as the Director’s strategic partner to advance priorities and leave a lasting legacy for pupils.
