Job summary

CTS Recruit is recruiting a Head of Design for a busy manufacturing engineering client near Keighley. You will lead a senior team, drive the full product design lifecycle, and ensure compliance with ISO9001:2015, PED, CE Mark, API standards, and other regulatory requirements.

Strong communication and people skills are essential to educate and develop the design team and support strategic growth. The role focuses on product development, design documentation, CAD control, continuous improvement,

Qualifications

• Demonstrated design management experience in engineering/manufacturing.
• 10+ years in pressure vessel/valve design (ball, butterfly, gate, globe, check).
• Strong leadership and ability to coach and develop teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design and development of engineered products to meet regulatory and customer requirements.
• Lead and educate the design team; align with senior management on strategy and KPIs.
• Ensure design documentation and CAD models comply with ISO9001 and API/CE/ PED standards.
