Job summary

Raylo, a fast-growing subscription tech company, is seeking a Head of Data Science to lead our advanced model building and analytics strategy. You’ll design, build and deploy production ML models that influence credit risk, customer retention and growth as we scale internationally.

You’ll own the data science roadmap, coach a growing team, collaborate across product, engineering, risk and commercial, and translate complex modelling into clear business value.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data science and predictive modelling.
• Credit risk, fraud, or default modelling experience is essential.
• 2:1 or higher from a top university, preferably in STEM or quantitative discipline.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead Raylo's data science function, deploying cutting edge AI/ML to solve complex problems.
• Own end-to-end design, build and deployment of production-grade ML models (credit risk, churn, recommendations).
• Collaborate with product, engineering, risk, operations and commercial teams to identify high-impact opportunities.
• Combine deep technical expertise with clear communication to translate modelling into business value.
• Start as hands-on technical leader and shape the data science roadmap as the function grows.
