Job summary

AECOM in the UK is seeking an Associate Director Electrical & Power Monitoring: Data Centres to lead EPMS/PMS design and delivery for hyperscale and co-loc data centres. The role spans London-based projects with national travel, overseeing design teams and contractor implementation.

You will liaise with clients, architects, M&E teams and management, ensuring designs meet regulatory and sustainability goals. A strong track record in data centre projects and professional accreditation is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering with building services bias (or equivalent experience).
• Membership in IET or CIBSE preferred; CEng or working towards is desirable.
• Proven track record delivering EPMS/PMS designs across diverse projects.
• Team player capable of leading electrical design with other disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and oversee EPMS/PMS across architectures to meet client and regulatory needs.
• Engage with clients, architects, M&E teams, contractors, and senior management.
• Manage projects from feasibility to delivery, including specs, tendering, cost/bid analysis and reporting.
• Conduct surveys, FAT/SAT testing, and provide reports and training.
• Drive business development and mentor EPMS/PMS team; promote innovation in smart buildings.
• Promote SH&E best practices and ensure compliance across projects.
• Integrate mechanical, electrical and control systems leveraging open standards.
• Occasionally travel nationally to projects and balance with hybrid/remote work.
