Job summary

Fasanara Digital is seeking a Head of Quantitative Research to lead the desk's research, manage strategy risk, and develop a team of quantitative researchers. Reporting to the partners, the role collaborates with trading, PMs and technology to push frontier crypto strategies.

You will set the research direction, build robust models, and ensure production-ready research with rigorous reviews and risk controls. This is a senior leadership role in crypto quant research.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in front-office quantitative research or trading at a leading systematic trading firm.
• Proven record of leading researchers or managing a research-driven portfolio with P&L responsibility.
• Deep expertise in statistical arbitrage, mid-frequency equities, futures relative value or market-making.
• Experience in risk management for systematic strategies, including limits and drawdown control.
• Advanced programming ability in Python; C++ or systems language a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set and prioritize the research agenda across the desk (market-making, carry, cross-venue strategies).
• Lead research, development and deployment of new strategies from hypothesis to live trading.
• Enforce research standards with independent review of strategies and backtested vs live performance.
