Job summary

Leeds Building Society invites applications for Head of Technology - Core to lead our core banking platform transformation. You will shape the platform strategy, oversee cloud services, APIs and release pipelines while ensuring security, resilience and performance for members.

You will guide senior teams and external partners, driving delivery plans, stakeholder alignment and responsible use of budgets and resources in a regulated financial services setting.

Qualifications

• Senior technology leadership experience in financial services or regulated environments.
• Proven track record of leading Core platform transformation, modernisation or cloud migration.
• Deep knowledge of multi-vendor tech ecosystems including SaaS, APIs, Azure, CI/CD, DevOps and automated testing.
• Experience with ITIL and DevOps in high availability/zero data loss/zero trust contexts.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate complex tech issues into business decisions and delivery plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead and shape the platform strategy for the Core Banking transformation.
• Oversee cloud services, software components and release processes to ensure stability, resilience and performance.
• Coordinate internal teams, delivery partners and stakeholders to deliver customer-focused outcomes.
• Drive simplification of the technology estate and reduction of technical debt.
