Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is seeking a highly capable Methods Lead for Sizewell C’s Main Civil Works programme. You will lead the development of safe, efficient, buildable construction methodologies, provide RAMS and method statements, and guide a team of Methods and Digital Engineers.

The role requires civil engineering expertise, leadership, and a collaborative approach with design and delivery teams. Hybrid working at Orwell Logistics Park, Ipswich, with travel options.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience leading methods/engineering teams.
• Experience with construction methodologies, sequencing, and buildability.
• Proficiency in CAD and 3D modelling tools (Revit, Navisworks).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Membership of a relevant professional body would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Leading the development of construction methodologies and sequencing for major civil engineering works.
• Producing and overseeing site construction method statements (RAMS).
• Supporting constructability reviews, value engineering and options studies with design and delivery teams.
• Leading and managing a team of Methods Engineers and Digital Engineers to support construction delivery.
• Championing Safe by Design and engineered safety principles across all methodologies.
• Engaging with design teams to develop practical, buildable solutions and alignment across project delivery.
