Our client is a London-based Main Contractor specializing in Cut & Carve, Commercial, Hotel, Residential, and Mixed Use construction.

Due to continued growth, they are now looking to hire a Head of Construction to oversee and manage their 10+ live projects in London, with values ranging from £12m to £55m.

The Role

The successful applicant will need to manage and direct all aspects of construction operations, including personnel, functions, and teams responsible for completing the production and commercial requirements of the projects under the Head of Construction’s remit.

Main Responsibilities & Duties

• Management of the business and projects
• Project Planning
• Project Programme
• Project Quality, Costs, and Design
• Oversight of procurement, personnel, subcontractors, and plant & materials
• Health and Safety
• Project Handover

Skills and Requirements:

• NVQ Level 7 in Construction or a Construction Degree
• Chartered Member of CIOB
• Knowledge of NHBC Standards
• Experience with JCT Contracts
• Previous experience as a Project Lead, Project Director, or Senior Project Manager with a reputable main contractor
• Experience working with a reputable Design and Build Main Contractor
• Excellent personnel management skills and the capacity to build a strong project team
