Job summary

UNCOVER is seeking a Head of Conflicts to lead the firm’s Conflicts function within the Risk & Compliance group in London. The role requires strategic oversight of complex conflict-of-interest issues and senior-level advisory to partners and business stakeholders.

Ideal candidates will have a strong background in conflicts within an international or leading law firm and a proven track record of developing high-performing teams.

Qualifications

• Experience leading conflicts function within an international or leading law firm.
• Strong advisory capability to partners, lawyers and stakeholders on conflicts and risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the firm’s Conflicts function with strategic oversight.
• Oversee identification, assessment and resolution of complex conflict-of-interest issues.
• Provide senior-level advice on conflicts matters and risk considerations to partners and stakeholders.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve conflicts policies, procedures and controls.
• Act as a senior escalation point for high-risk or sensitive conflicts matters.
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Business Acceptance, General Counsel and senior stakeholders on risk matters.
• Support conflicts training across the firm and contribute to Risk & Compliance strategy.
• Contribute to leadership initiatives within Risk & Compliance.

Key Responsibilities for the Head of Conflicts role:

• Lead and manage the firm’s Conflicts function, providing clear direction, support and strategic oversight.
• Oversee the identification, assessment and resolution of complex and sensitive conflict-of-interest issues.
• Provide senior-level advice to partners, lawyers and business stakeholders on conflicts matters and risk considerations.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve conflicts policies, procedures and controls.
• Act as a senior escalation point for complex, high-risk or sensitive conflicts matters.
• Work closely with Risk, Compliance, Business Acceptance, General Counsel and other senior stakeholders on wider risk matters.
• Support the development and delivery of conflicts training across the firm.
• Contribute to the wider Risk & Compliance strategy and senior leadership initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in conflictsgained within an international or leading law firm, together with proven experience managing and developing a high-performing team.
