Job summary

London Southend Airport Company Limited is seeking a Head of Commercial Optimisation to oversee non-aero revenue streams across the airport, including rail, car park, taxi, and F&B. You will drive EBITDA growth and support future planning, capacity management, and revenue protection.

This on-site role requires strong data analysis, contract management, and market research, with a focus on pricing elasticity and competitive bidding. A minimum 4 days on site per week.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience in a high-volume, fast-paced commercial operation.
• Strong analytical skills with a record of driving revenue growth and profitability.
• Proficient in financial modelling, procurement tools, market benchmarking, and digital integration platforms.
• Experience with API integrated platform use & optimization in a commercial environment.
• Degree level qualification in Business, Finance or a related field is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Analyse performance data with Commercial Finance Analysts to drive insights improving EBITDA.
• Support with budget preparation and provide insights on performance assumptions.
• Implement pricing elasticity across non-aero revenue streams.
• Monitor performance across non-aero areas to identify risks and opportunities.
• Conduct market research to ensure products/services align with EBITDA goals.
• Manage existing contracts and support concession bid process through competitive negotiations.

About the role

As Head of Commercial Optimisation, I am directly accountable for the non-aero revenue streams across the airport, this includes the Rail station, Car park, Taxi’s and Food & Beverage and Retail outlets. My goal is to improve EBITDA across the Non-Aero functions. As Head of Commercial Optimisation, I support with non-aero future planning and phased development, covering everything from capacity and demand to product, category management, and revenue protection. • I will work with the Commercial Finance Analyst’s to analyse performance data, using these findings to drive meaningful insights on improvements to the services that can be implemented to increase EBITDA.
• I will support with budget preparation, providing insights on performance assumptions.
• I will be responsible for implementing pricing elasticity across the non-aero revenue streams.
• I will monitor performance across all non-aero areas, identifying risk and opportunity.
• I will regularly conduct market research, ensuring that the products and services offered align with optimal EBITDA goals.
• I will be responsible for managing existing contracts and will provide support to the future growth of concession bid process through competitive contract negotiations.

Please note - this role will require you to be on site a minimum of 4 days per week
