London Southend Airport Company Limited is seeking an experienced Air Traffic Engineer to maintain air traffic management systems. The role involves planned and reactive maintenance while ensuring operational excellence across all shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.

Formación

About the role

As an Air Traffic Engineer at London Southend Airport, you will be responsible for all planned and reactive maintenance of the airport’s air traffic management systems, ensuring seamless daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all planned and reactive work on ATS/CNS equipment is completed on time.
• Maintain and service ATS/CNS equipment in accordance with (UK) EU373/CAP670.
• Update the Asset Management System with accurate records.
• Support the scheduling and reactive maintenance of other operational support systems.
• Maintain all records and keep them up to date.
• Take full ownership of operational issues when they arise, ensuring timely and safe resolution.
• Embed the Airports ‘One Team’ culture and support business needs through additional tasks as required.
• Work across all shifts during operating hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and bank holidays.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Previous experience in Air Traffic Engineering.
• UK PTC group ratings for ILS, DME, NDB, PSR, SSR, Radar Displays, RT Comms Air/Ground, RT Comms Ground/Ground, Recorder Systems R/T, Recorders Systems, IRVR, CCTV, General Data Processing.
• PTC Equipment Ratings at level 2 for Leonardo ATCR-33SE Radar, Chelton (Cobham) RDS1600, Normarc 7000 ILS, Fernau 2020 DME, Nautel NDB VR125, Frequentis 3020 VCCS, Frequentis RESQ (Emg VCCS), Jotron VHF Tx Rx, UHF Tx/Rx, Ricochet Recorder, Telvent IRVR.
• Level 3 qualification in communication/electronic engineering or a comparable allied discipline.

Compensation

Pay range: 60,000 – 70,000 GBP per year (London Southend Airport)
