The role

As a Head of Commercial, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. The role offers a wide variety of development and personal growth opportunities. We are looking for people who are not afraid of responsibility, who can challenge the norm, raise the bar, and work collaboratively with project teams, stakeholders, and partners to achieve the best commercial position possible.

Day-to-day, you’ll support our drive to transform Mission Systems by delivering innovative and pragmatic commercial solutions for our customers and our business.

  • Conduct pricing activities and dynamic contractual risk assessments
  • Support tender and organic growth activities at every level to achieve our customer’s mission
  • Manage existing contracts
  • Undertake negotiations

This role is full time, 37 hours per week, based at Bristol.

Essential experience of the Head of Commercial
  • Experienced commercial individual with a track record in bidding for, negotiating, and managing complex and/or highly strategic contracts
  • Commercial and contracts experience with a demonstrable track record of owning and delivering pre- and post-contract activities
  • Experience in defining, driving, and overseeing commercial and contract governance
  • Ability to identify and implement pragmatic commercial solutions to achieve win-win outcomes
Qualifications for the Head of Commercial
  • Ideally qualified to degree level or equivalent, achieved through extensive and successful experience
Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
