Job summary

LemFi is building the financial infrastructure for migrants and underserved communities. As Head of Collections you will own end-to-end collections strategy across all product lines, balancing recovery with a genuinely customer-first approach.

You will set portfolio targets, build operational playbooks, lead and grow a collections team, and partner with Product, Engineering, Legal and Finance to embed collections logic while ensuring regulatory compliance across markets.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in consumer (B2C) collections or credit risk.
• Proven track record spanning both strategy design and hands-on operational delivery.
• Experience managing or building a collections team with clear prioritisation.
• Working knowledge of FCA CONC 7 and Consumer Duty obligations.
• Able to diagnose portfolio problems, model scenarios and drive decisions using data; comfortable with SQL/BI; willing to bring AI into workflow.
• Experience in a high-growth or fast-moving environment with incomplete processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and own end-to-end collections strategy across all product lines.
• Set portfolio-level targets and hold the team to data-driven governance.
• Build and iterate operational playbooks for all stages of collections.
• Lead, coach and grow a collections team with clear prioritisation frameworks.
• Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Legal and Finance to embed collections logic and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Identify and manage third-party agencies and credit bureaus for performance and conduct.
• Report portfolio health and strategic recommendations to senior leadership in plain language.
