Job summary

LGC is seeking a Head of Clinical Trial Recruitment & Workforce to lead national recruitment initiatives across NHS R&D networks and commercial life sciences partners. The role collaborates with the NIHR Industry Hub to drive improvements in recruitment speed, efficiency, and capacity, ensuring delivery aligns with national priorities and timelines.

Qualifications

• Extensive operational experience in driving clinical-trial recruitment and delivery.
• Experience navigating NHS, HRA, MHRA, and NIHR interfaces.
• Workforce capacity planning and reinvestment experience within NHS or industry.
• Strong data-driven approach to recruitment performance analytics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement national recruitment improvement workstreams.
• Link NIHR R&D, NHS infrastructure with sponsors to improve recruitment reliability.
• Remove silos between study setup and trial delivery in collaboration with partners.
• Align workforce and recruitment strategies with NIHR Industry Hub lifecycle and 150-day timelines.
• Define tangible growth benchmarks and models for recruitment performance.
