Job summary

City of Wolverhampton Council seeks a visionary Head of Clean and Green Services to shape Wolverhampton's environment and lead major service areas. You will oversee Street Scene, Grounds Maintenance, Arboricultural, Pest Control and Graffiti services, guiding large teams and managing substantial budgets and contracts.

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Environment and Regulation, you will champion innovation and digital transformation to deliver modern, customer-focused services and foster

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in environmental, regulatory, public realm or related services.
• Strong track record of delivering transformational change and service improvement.
• Experience managing complex budgets, contracts and resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across services including Street Scene, Grounds Maintenance, Arboricultural, Pest Control and Graffiti.
• Lead large multidisciplinary teams, drive performance and manage budgets and contracts.
• Collaborate with elected members, communities and partners to deliver civic pride and sustainable place-making.
