Stamford Bridge, the home of Chelsea Football Club, welcomes countless visitors throughout the year. Our food & beverage team ensures everyone is well catered for – from match day burgers for 40,000 fans to VVIP dinners.

We’re seeking a Head of Catering responsible for driving the development, profitable delivery, and continuous improvement of all catering services at Chelsea FC and Stamford Bridge.

This role focuses on providing a world-class catering experience by managing in-house operations, outsourced catering services, vendors, and providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Oversight and Daily Operations: Oversee and manage the venue catering partner, develop and execute catering strategies aligned with the club's commercial goals, and implement operational plans to enhance services and increase income.
  2. Operational Excellence: Lead complex projects, analyze data for decision-making, manage budgets, and collaborate with stakeholders to support premium hospitality and events.
  3. Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and food safety regulations.
  4. Daily Management: Lead and develop the catering team, deliver exceptional guest experiences, achieve financial targets, plan and execute events, analyze feedback for improvements, and ensure legal and safety compliance.
  5. Team and Performance Management: Develop staff, set KPIs, monitor performance, and maintain high service standards.

Essential Requirements:

  1. Leadership experience in large-scale food and beverage operations.
  2. Experience managing catering providers and procurement.
  3. Strong staff management and planning skills.
  4. Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.
  5. Proficiency in IT tools like Excel and Outlook.
  6. Ability to meet deadlines, adapt, and solve problems effectively.

The employee must adhere to Chelsea FC policies, including health & safety, confidentiality, and data protection. The role may require a DBS check and other safeguarding measures to ensure the safety of vulnerable groups.
