Job Description:

We're currently hiring for a Head of Business & Technical Architecture role focused on shaping the future of smart energy metering in the UK. The role involves influencing government, regulators, and industry stakeholders, driving innovation, and chairing strategic committees impacting over 30 million homes and businesses.

The successful candidate will need to have:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior technology leadership role such as CTO/CPO (preferably within energy or telecoms), with experience engaging with customers on their needs
• A business-focused CTO or technology-focused CPO
• Proven ability to operate as an effective Chair, covering technical options and priorities, considering operational needs and legacy system replacement
• Ability to influence senior industry stakeholders with competing priorities in a structured, collaborative manner
• Senior experience in managing product and service management technology solutions (preferably in B2B environments)
• Outstanding communication skills to clarify complex business and technical topics
• Strong technology background with knowledge of emerging technologies and their strategic impact on smart metering
• Understanding of current and future smart metering architecture (preferred but not essential)
