Job Description:

We're currently hiring for a Head of Business & Technical Architecture role with a focus on shaping the future of smart energy metering in the UK. This position is key in influencing government, regulators, and industry stakeholders, driving innovation, and chairing strategic committees impacting over 30 million homes and businesses.

The successful candidate will need to have:

• At least 5 years of senior technology leadership experience, such as CTO or CPO, preferably within energy or telecoms, with a proven track record of engaging with customers on their needs
• A business-focused CTO or a technology-focused CPO
• Proven ability to effectively chair meetings, covering technical options and priorities, incorporating inputs from multiple perspectives, including customers and architects, and considering operational needs and legacy system replacements
• The ability to interact with and influence senior industry stakeholders with diverse priorities in a structured, fair, and collaborative manner
• Senior experience in managing product and service management technology solutions, ideally in a B2B environment
• Excellent communication skills to clearly explain complex business and technical concepts
• A strong technological background, with knowledge of emerging technologies and their strategic impact on smart metering
• A detailed understanding of current and future smart metering architecture (preferred but not essential)
