Job summary

Howells Solutions Limited is seeking a Head of Bids to lead the bids team across North West projects in education, public sector, blue light, and energy services.

You will shape bidding strategy, oversee PQQ and ITT submissions, and line manage Bid Managers and support staff. The role requires senior leadership and the ability to influence senior stakeholders to win major social housing contracts.

Qualifications

• Proven bid writing and tender management experience.
• Excellent writing skills with eye for detail.
• Leadership and project management experience.
• IT proficient in Word and Excel.
• Exceptional communication skills with interpersonal abilities.
• Professionally qualified, and/or a graduate.
• Understanding of the social housing sector including responsive repairs, voids, planned and energy services.
• Ability to make high-quality presentations to customers.
• Highly numerate with the ability to analyse data and translate it into bid strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and shape bidding strategy for high-value PQQ and ITT submissions.
• Line manage a team of Bid Managers and support staff.
• Provide strategic direction for business development and bids.
• Engage with senior leadership to target projects across sectors.
• Present bid strategies to customers and stakeholders.
