Job summary

BM Caterers London is seeking a Head of Barista to lead the cafe, ensure high-quality beverages, and drive excellent guest experiences. You will oversee bar operations, train staff, and uphold health and safety standards across shifts.

The role requires strong barista leadership, customer service excellence, and the ability to manage stock and processes in a fast-paced environment. London-based position with hands-on front-line responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Food safety and health & safety training completed.
• COSHH awareness and SCAE entry-level knowledge.
• Barista training and till handling experience.
• Allergy awareness and customer service skills.
• Approximately 2 years in a customer-facing service role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare hot beverages to the required standards.
• Ensure suitable food items are available and rotated throughout the day.
• Keep the coffee bar clean, tidy and well stocked at all times.
• Organise time and systems to ensure high service standards.
• Manage queues to keep customers engaged throughout service.
• Follow stock rotation procedures and company instructions.

• To ensure the coffee bar rivals High Street competitors in terms of offer and service
• Incorporate bm concepts in the coffee bar and display in line with 6 key principles
• Achieve all Health & Safety requirements as directed.
• Provide prompt and efficient service to every customer

Key outputs

• Prepare hot beverages to the required standards
• Ensure suitable food items are available and rotated throughout the day
• Ensure the coffee bar is clean, tidy and well stocked at all times
• Organise time and systems to ensure a consistently high standard of service
• Manage any queue to ensure everyone is engaged at all times the service experience
• Comply with appropriate due diligence/stock rotation procedures
• Follow procedures and instructions
