Glasgow Life is recruiting a Head of Arts and Music on a full-time, permanent contract. This is a senior leadership role driving the strategic and operational delivery of arts and music across the city. As lead officer for Glasgow’s Culture Strategy 2024–2030, you’ll help shape programmes that are inclusive, innovative and impactful. You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team and contribute to organisation-wide planning and transformation, helping ensure that culture continues to enhance the wellbeing and vibrancy of Glasgow’s communities and economy.
Glasgow Life’s Arts & Music teams deliver meaningful, high-quality cultural experiences. From major festivals and venue programming to community-led initiatives, we promote inclusion, support wellbeing, and strengthen the visitor economy.
About you
You’ll have:
• Degree-level education or equivalent senior experience in cultural policy, arts management or creative leadership
• Proven strategic leadership and experience managing large teams in arts, culture or music
• Strong financial skills and understanding of public/third sector funding
• Experience creating inclusive cultural programmes with and for diverse communities
