Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group in London and Edinburgh is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead algorithmic trading risk and controls within the Chief Controls Office. You will drive governance, controls, MI, and regulatory alignment across electronic trading platforms, delivering robust oversight.

The role emphasizes real-time monitoring, risk management, and continuous improvement to strengthen resilience and ensure compliance with internal risk appetite and regulatory expectations.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of algorithmic trading risk and control frameworks within Financial Markets.
• Experience in governance and oversight of electronic trading platforms and models.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices for algo trading controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent real-time monitoring of algorithmic trading and respond to alerts.
• Lead calibration of trader and platform limits using data-driven inputs.
• Own the Self-Assessment process and produce outputs to meet regulatory requirements.
• Identify and implement new or enhanced controls based on Self-Assessment findings.
• Maintain classification and governance of models and algorithms through an inventory process.
