Job summary

Engage is an AI company with its own AI customer engagement platform. We’re seeking a Head of AI Services to lead the services team from a hands-on delivery role to a scaling leadership position based in Manchester.

You’ll own delivery standards, scoping, capacity planning and margins, while delivering on key accounts and building reusable patterns for the team. You’ll report to the CEO and help shape the platform roadmap.

Qualifications

• Hands-on engineering with production code in Python/TypeScript.
• Experience building with LLMs (RAG, agents, evaluation).
• Delivering for clients from scoping to live results; mentoring engineers.
• Ability to explain technical choices to business leaders.
• Commercial sense about scope, utilization and margin.

Responsibilities

• Set and own delivery standards for professional services.
• Lead scoping so each project has clear outcomes and estimates.
• Deliver on key accounts for ~50% of time from discovery to live result.
• Build with LLMs, agents, RAG, and evaluation on our platform.
• Integrate with customer systems, APIs and data sources.
• Turn repetitive work into reusable patterns and assets.
• Manage team utilization and plan capacity against demand.
• Own professional services margin and report to the CEO.
• Ensure customers receive promised outcomes and track them.
• Handoff from sales to delivery with the sales lead.
• Hire, coach and grow the FDE team as the business scales.
• Share delivery insights with leadership and the platform roadmap.
