Job summary

Harmonic Group Ltd is partnering with a hypergrowth logistics-tech scale-up to build a finance function from the ground up. The head will own the AI-native system design, from record to report to close, with automation at its core and direct alignment to the CFO and founders to drive velocity.

The role is a 0-to-1 build, reporting to the CFO, combining finance expertise with engineering and data collaboration to create a scalable, real-time decision engine for a business targeting rapid revenue

Qualifications

• Built or redesigned finance systems and operating models end to end.
• Deployed automation or AI in real finance workflows.
• Experience working with CFOs, founders or operators on scaling finance in high-growth environments.
• Proven experience owning finance programmes and delivering systems implementations end to end.
• Strong technical fluency; comfortable working with engineering and data teams.
• Structured, clear communicator with stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design the finance function from first principles for an AI-native, high-growth company, rebuilding core processes (record to report, procure to pay, order to cash, FP&A).
• Deploy AI across high-leverage workflows: forecasting, automated reporting, close and reconciliation, and risk detection.
• Build and own the technical stack: ERP vs tooling, data design, modular and API-ready architecture.
• Collaborate directly with engineering and data teams to translate financial logic into production systems.
• Redesign the operating model to augment humans with AI and define roles accordingly.
• Deliver real-time, high-quality financial insight and scalable systems for growth to £100m+ revenue.
