Job summary

Harmonic Finance is seeking a Head of Finance for a London-based, hybrid role. You will own the commercial finance engine, building processes from scratch and driving AI-enabled automation across forecasting, collections, and reporting.

You will report to the CEO, lead FP&A and month-end close, and work closely with the trading desk to ensure cashflow visibility and accurate P&L forecasting, with a clear path to Finance Director in about 18 months. Equity is part of the package.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACC A/CIMA or equivalent) required.
• Experience in energy, commodities, or fintech sectors.
• Experience as an early finance hire building a function from scratch.
• Ability to design and implement AI/automation in finance processes.

Responsibilities

• Build finance systems stack from scratch with AI/automation at its core.
• Own cash flow forecasting, runway planning, banking and payments operations.
• Lead month-end close, reporting, and board/investor packs.
• Partner with trading desk to align market exposure with cashflow and P&L forecasts.
• Own statutory accounts, audit, payroll and tax compliance; implement internal controls.
