Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer seeks a visionary Head of Performance to lead an AI-first transformation of how talent is assessed, developed, and recognised globally. You will drive continuous, insight-driven performance enablement across London and Manchester and define governance forResponsible AI across the lifecycle.

Reporting within the People function, you will set the strategy and roadmap for integrating generative AI into objective-setting, feedback, calibration, and development

Qualifications

• Proven Performance Leadership within a global organisation.
• Practical AI expertise in HR/talent processes, including generative AI/LLM tools.
• Strategic vision with clear roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
• Cross-location leadership across multiple offices.
• Influencing and change-management to work with senior stakeholders.
• Data literacy and understanding of GDPR and responsible AI.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the firm’s multi-year performance strategy and roadmap.
• Pioneer an AI-first approach across the performance cycle and governance.
• Collaborate with Reward, Talent, L&D, HRIS and HRBPs to align outcomes with rewards.
• Lead three direct reports across London and Manchester.
• Establish governance, privacy safeguards, and fairness standards for AI.
• Oversee performance technology integration (Workday) and analytics.
• Engage senior leaders to drive adoption of new performance practices.
