Job summary

Cancer Research UK is seeking a strategic Head of AI Implementation & Enablement to lead the AI Centre of Excellence, establishing governance, frameworks and an operating model to scale safe, responsible AI across the organisation. The role reports to senior leadership and partners with Data & Technology to embed AI in roadmaps.

You will drive AI adoption, manage a high-impact team, and oversee governance from experimentation to retirement, enabling rapid, responsible progress toward CRUK’s

Qualifications

• Practical understanding of generative AI, LLMs and AI agents.
• Experience leading large-scale organisational change.
• Senior stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Ability to operate in fast-moving, evolving environments with governance and risk controls.

Responsibilities

• Establish governance, frameworks and a scalable operating model for responsible AI use.
