Job summary

techUK, the UK tech trade association, is seeking a Head of AI Adoption to lead its AI strategy within the Tech & Innovation portfolio. Based in London, the role shapes policy-aligned initiatives, runs roundtables and flagship events, and grows the AI membership base.

Reporting to the Director of Technology and Innovation, you will build the AI Adoption Coalition and the AI Forum, collaborate with policymakers and industry leaders, and turn research into practical programs that accelerate

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience with setting and delivering a strategic plan across multiple workstreams.
• Proven track record in planning and hosting webinars, roundtables or conferences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for turning research into briefs or articles.
• Strong stakeholder and membership engagement experience, including recruiting partners.

Responsibilities

• Own techUK's AI adoption strategy - positions, messaging and activity - ensuring it stays relevant, credible and influential.
• Be a visible, active presence in the UK's AI ecosystem: speaking at events, representing techUK, and building genuine relationships with industry leaders and key stakeholders.
• Act as secretariat for techUK's AI Adoption Coalition and new AI Forum, scoping, planning and delivering their events and working groups.
• Lead delivery of techUK's flagship AI activity - reports, insight series, roundtables, dinners, focus weeks and summits - including writing the agenda, booking speakers and securing sponsors for techUK's annual AI conference each January.
• Track the AI adoption debate closely, building close ties with the AI community and turning insight into a calendar of high-impact activity.
• Champion the programme externally through articles, speaking engagements and networking.
• Work across techUK's Markets and Policy teams so our AI adoption narrative stays consistent and well promoted.
• Grow techUK's AI membership base, helping identify and recruit new members and spot new business opportunities.
