Overview

The Head Housekeeper role at Avery Healthcare is responsible for overseeing the housekeeping and laundry cleaning services to ensure high-quality care is delivered to residents. The role includes supervising the housekeeping team, maintaining cleaning standards, and managing the procurement of cleaning materials.

Main duties

Your focus will be to oversee the housekeeping and laundry cleaning service in support of the hospitality services function to ensure a high-quality and comprehensive care service is delivered to residents. Other responsibilities include:

• Carrying out all cleaning duties as per the housekeeping job description.
• Preparing orders for Home Manager approval for all cleaning materials with approved suppliers, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring quality products are purchased within budget.
• Monitoring standards of work of the housekeeping and laundry team to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Supervising and directing the housekeeping team, providing instruction and demonstrations to new staff on cleaning tasks and materials.
