Based in Didcot, Oxfordshire, our newly-built care home offers exceptional standards of Nursing, Residential, Dementia, and Respite care for 70 residents.

We’re looking for a dedicated Head Housekeeper to oversee our housekeeping operations and lead a team committed to excellence in housekeeping. You’ll play a crucial role in upholding the cleanliness and overall atmosphere of our care home. This role provides an opportunity to lead a team and ensure the highest standards of housekeeping, contributing to a pleasant, well-maintained environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and Lead: Oversee and manage the housekeeping team, assign tasks, and ensure daily operations run smoothly.
2. Training and Evaluation: Train new employees, evaluate performance, and provide ongoing support to maintain high standards.
3. Task Management: Schedule and delegate work for cleaning, laundry, and other essential tasks to ensure all areas are maintained.
4. Inventory Management: Order and manage cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and cost-effectiveness.
5. Quality Inspection: Inspect residents’ rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to standards.
6. Handle Complaints: Address and resolve complaints from residents and staff professionally and promptly.
7. Safety and Sanitation: Enforce safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a safe environment.
8. Liaison Role: Act as the point of contact between housekeeping and other departments for seamless communication.
9. Budget Management: Manage the housekeeping budget, keep accurate expense records, and work within financial guidelines.
10. Communication: Communicate regularly with management and attend meetings to discuss operations and improvements.
