About The Role

Head Housekeeper:

Pay rate: £12.75 per hour.

Hours: 40 hours per week, with alternate weekend working

We have an exciting opportunity for a Head Housekeeper to join the team at Wickmeads, our residential care home located near Tuckton Gardens and River Stour, Christchurch, Dorset.

What you will be doing:

• Leading a small dedicated TEAM.
• Ensuring cleaning, laundry, and domestic equipment are maintained by staff according to manufacturing instructions and health & safety guidelines.
• Promptly reporting and recording all minor faults and repairs.
• Presenting rooms for viewing to a high standard.
• Preparing schedules for daily, weekly, monthly, annual, and cyclical cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Ordering stock of cleaning products and PPE, ensuring all First Aid boxes are stocked and accessible for emergencies.
• Keeping the home clean, safe, and comfortable for residents.
• Supporting the cleaning of communal areas and residents' rooms.

Who are we looking for:

Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

A desire to create a welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Willing to LEAD THE TEAM and participate as part of the larger Housekeeping TEAM.
