RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Ensuring that all records relating to housekeeping including cleaning schedules are completed daily
2. Organising Domestic Staff with the daily duties which includes:
1. The vacuuming of rooms and corridors and emptying all waste bins
2. Cleaning the glass and mirrors
3. Dusting
4. Sweeping and mopping floor surfaces
5. Cleaning the bathrooms and toilets, with particular attention to guidelines for the control of germs and infestation
6. Clean areas as assigned
7. To clean all allocated rooms including furniture, fittings, fabric, carpets and equipment
8. Ensure that rooms are odour free
9. To be aware of the health and safety statement of the COSHH statement
10. To report any malfunction of equipment or fittings that require maintenance or cannot be kept to standard through normal cleaning procedures
11. To report any cleaning materials that need replacing to the appropriate person
12. Keep your cleaning area and space clean and tidy at all times and your cleaning materials safely stored
13. To deal with the waste bags and their prescribed disposal
14. Be familiar with the required care standards regulations governing your job including infection control
