Job summary

Care Concern Group presents Larchwood Care Home in Braintree, Essex, seeking a Head Housekeeper to lead cleanliness, presentation and organisation of the home, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for Residents.

You will manage the housekeeping team, supervise cleaning of residents' rooms, bathrooms and all communal areas, and coordinate daily operations in line with infection control and health and safety standards.

About Larchwood Care Home

• £15.80 to £16.15 per hour
• Contracted to 44 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Head Housekeeper, you will take overall responsibility for the cleanliness, presentation and organisation of the home, ensuring a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment is maintained at all times. This is a key leadership role where your standards and attention to detail will directly impact daily life and overall experience.

You will lead and manage the housekeeping team, overseeing the cleaning of residents’ rooms, bathrooms and all communal areas to ensure consistently high standards of hygiene and presentation. You will coordinate daily operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and in line with infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures.

Working closely with other departments, you will ensure a well organised and responsive service. You will monitor quality, manage supplies and support your team through training, guidance and leadership, creating a positive and high performing environment.
