Job summary

The Chelsea Magazine Company is seeking an experienced Editor to lead a high-volume print production schedule, directing a dedicated editorial team and collaborating with commercial, digital and publishing stakeholders.

The role is fully remote but based in the UK; you will manage end-to-end delivery, maintain detailed flatplans in advance, commission photography and features up to a year ahead, and shape editorial direction across UK and North American editions while fostering

Qualifications

• Senior editorial leadership experience in print publishing.
• Gardening journalism background or strong horticultural knowledge.
• Well-connected in the gardening industry with relationships to writers and photographers.
• Proficiency with InDesign and CMS platforms.
• Ability to manage editorial budgets and resources.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end delivery of high-quality publications with strict print schedules and budgets.
• Maintain flatplans three issues in advance and commission photography/features up to a year ahead.
• Drive editorial direction across 13 UK editions, 6 North American editions, and standalone titles.
• Build cross-departmental relationships with commercial and digital teams to support pitches and content solutions.
