Job summary

Hearst UK is seeking a Deputy Multiplatform Editor for House Beautiful and Country Living in London. You will help drive audience growth, editorial excellence and commercial success, working with the Multiplatform Editors to optimize workflows and lead the digital operation.

You’ll shape content strategy using data insights, oversee newsletters and manage freelance writers, while partnering with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver high-quality, engaging content.

Qualifications

• Must write, edit and publish high-quality content to tight deadlines.
• Strong headlines for Google Discover, SEO and social.
• Proven ability to lead writers and freelancers.
• Experience shaping content strategy with data-led insights.

Responsibilities

• Work with Multiplatform Editors to optimise workflows across digital platforms.
• Edit copy, curate newsletters and provide editorial feedback.
• Line-manage the Multiplatform Writer and mentor the team.
• Cover for Multiplatform Editors during absences and coordinate internal stakeholders.
• Lead daily editorial meetings and use analytics to shape priorities.
• Support Apple News, special projects and brand events as required.
• Oversee commissioning, editing and delivery from freelancers.
• Communicate the brands’ vision to PRs, agents and clients.
