Job summary

The Ned in London seeks a Head Concierge to lead our dynamic concierge team, guiding guests to unlock the best of London for an exceptional stay.

You will provide expert local recommendations, manage guest requests with professionalism, and collaborate across departments to ensure a seamless experience. A proven leadership track record in hospitality is essential, with Les Clefs D’Or membership highly valued.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience within a concierge team.
• Membership of Les Clefs D’Or.
• Track record of delivering high-quality people management and commercial performance.
• Multilingual skills are beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the concierge team to deliver performance across commercial, operational, customer and team aspects.
• Provide guests with expert advice on local attractions, dining and entertainment.
• Efficiently handle guest requests and resolve issues professionally.

About The Ned:

The Ned launched in 2017 in the heart of the City, in the former Midland Bank headquarters. The Ned City of London houses Ned’s Club - a private members’ space, gym and rooftop - alongside a public spa, a whole floor of event spaces, ten restaurants and bars and 248 hotel bedrooms.

As a the leader of our concierge team you will:

• Lead and manage the concierge team to deliver all performance - commercial, operational, customer, and team
• Provide guests with expert advice on local attractions, dining, and entertainment.
• Efficiently handle guest requests and resolve any issues with professionalism.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of The Ned’s services and amenities.

What you can bring to the role:

• Proven leadership experience within a concierge team is essential, ideally within a similar environment
• Membership of Les Clefs D’Or
• A proven track record of delivering outstanding people management and commercial performance in a similar role
• Multilingual skills will be beneficial, but are not essential
• Our concierge team are a constant presence in the heart of the ground floor, so you’ll obviously have a bright personality and genuine warmth with a passion for outstanding hospitality
• Our ground floor is host to live music every day and multiple bars and restaurants. As such this can be a lively and high‑pressure environment, so a calm demeanour and ability to defuse situations and turn them into a positive is extremely valuable
