Gather & Gather in Reading is seeking a talented Lead Chef to head daily kitchen operations, delivering 150-200 lunch covers per day. You will create fresh menus, lead a commis chef, and ensure high standards of presentation, hygiene and food safety.

You will also manage food prep, stock control and costs, deputise for the Catering Manager when required, and explore seasonal menus and pop-ups to keep the offer exciting and relevant.

Competenze

• Experience leading a busy kitchen with 150–200 covers per day.
• Proven ability to develop fresh, seasonal menus.
• Strong hygiene, safety and compliance knowledge.

Mansioni

• Lead day-to-day kitchen operation and maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
• Develop and continually improve the food offer with seasonal menus and themed events.
• Oversee food preparation, ordering, stock control and food costs; deputise for the Catering Manager when needed.
