Job summary

Compass Group UK&I, within Eurest, is seeking a Head Chef for a full-time 35-hour week to craft exceptional food experiences. You’ll lead a bustling kitchen, drive high standards, and shape a positive team culture.

As Head Chef, you’ll work across nights and days, deliver on brand concepts, and contribute to continuous improvement while upholding safety and quality across all operations.

Qualifications

• Experience as Head Chef or similar role in large kitchens.
• Ability to lead a team and create a positive kitchen culture.
• Commitment to high standards of food safety and hygiene.
• Proven budget awareness and cost control.
• Flexibility to work nights and days as part of a 35-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious, high-quality food that delights clients and customers.
• Identify opportunities to improve our food service.
• Create a positive kitchen environment where the team feel welcomed and supported.
• Deliver our tasty food concepts to customers.
• Order food, manage stock, and control waste.
• Oversee kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene standards.
• Manage budgets and meet financial targets.
• Comply with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health & Safety standards.
• Represent Compass Group UK&I and uphold the brand image.
