Ambitions Personnel is recruiting for a Head Chef in the Grantham area on a permanent, full-time basis. The role carries a salary of £45,000–£48,000 and requires hands-on kitchen leadership with team development responsibilities.

In this position you will oversee daily kitchen operations, maintain high culinary standards, and ensure food safety and allergen compliance while working closely with management to deliver an exceptional dining experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Head Chef or senior Sous Chef.
• Strong leadership and team-management skills.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene and allergen compliance.
• Ability to manage kitchen operations and costs.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring quality, presentation and service.
• Lead, motivate and develop the kitchen team.
• Maintain high food quality and presentation standards.
• Manage kitchen operations, rotas and staffing requirements.
• Ensure excellent food hygiene, health & safety and allergen compliance.
• Manage stock levels, ordering and food costs.
• Support menu development and culinary standards.
• Work with management to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Take ownership of kitchen performance and standards.
