Job summary

COREcruitment Ltd is seeking a strong, hands-on Head Chef for an East London high-volume fresh-food venue. You will lead the kitchen team, shape the food operation and drive growth with the owners, operating in a fast-paced environment with £75,000 base plus Tronc.

Ideal candidates have proven Head Chef experience in high-volume kitchens, with a track record of developing chefs from within and a solid grasp of GP, labour and stock management.

Qualifications

• Proven Head Chef experience in a high-volume fresh-food operation.
• Experience managing £70k+ food sales.
• Strong, hands-on kitchen leadership.
• Excellent people management and team development skills.
• Track record of developing chefs from within.
• Strong commercial understanding across GP, labour and stock.
• Experience with events and busy service periods.
• Someone who enjoys working closely with owners and having a genuine influence on the business.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen team and develop the food operation.
• Help shape the next stage of the business with the owners.
• Ensure quality and consistency of service across high-volume periods.
• Oversee cost control, GP, labour and stock management.
• Contribute to menu development and strategic growth plans.
