Job summary

COREcruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Head Chef for a high-volume independent pub in East London. You will lead a sizeable kitchen team, own menu development and the overall food operation, delivering consistently excellent dishes across busy services, events and weddings.

You’ll drive menu evolution, manage food quality, costs and team performance, with scope for growth as the business expands. Salary is £75,000 with significant progression potential.

Qualifications

• Proven Head Chef experience in a high-volume pub/restaurant.
• Ability to manage 200–300+ covers on busy weekend days.
• Strong menu development and seasonal specials.
• Leadership and development of a sizeable kitchen team.
• Commercial focus including GP, labour and stock control.

Responsibilities

• Lead a large kitchen team and ensure consistency across busy services.
• Develop and evolve menus that balance quality with commerciality.
• Oversee GP, labour, stock control and supplier relationships.
