Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Head Chef who will lead and develop the kitchen and dining teams across our care homes in the UK. You will design nutritious, flavoursome menus and ensure high standards while maintaining a warm resident-focused environment.

The role emphasizes autonomy, ongoing development through the Barchester Chef Academy, and opportunities to train staff and implement industry-recognised apprenticeships. You will work on interesting menus with fresh seasonal ingredients.

Formación

• Experience leading, motivating and inspiring a team.
• Experience working with fresh seasonal food with nutrition awareness.
• Ability to create a warm, welcoming kitchen and dining environment.
• Confidence engaging with residents to deliver appetising menus.
• Experience coordinating with front of house to maintain high service standards.
• Knowledge of modified diets using the IDDSI framework.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, motivate and inspire a team; develop and upskill where required.
• Menu development tailored to residents for person-centred hospitality.
• Work with fresh produce to deliver high quality dishes to the highest standards.
• Bake fresh cakes, scones and breads from scratch.
• Assist front of house with dining area setup.
• Manage budgets, audits and stock control.
• Create a warm, efficient and fun environment.
