Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Head Chef to lead a kitchen team across our care homes. You will develop menus focused on nutritious, resident-centred dining and oversee all food production to meet the highest standards.

You will work with fresh seasonal produce, bake from scratch, and collaborate with front of house to ensure premium dining experiences for residents. Training through our Chef Academy is available to grow your skills.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and inspiring a kitchen team.
• Knowledge of HACCP and COSHH.
• Experience with fresh seasonal produce and nutrition.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a kitchen team.
• Develop menus tailored to residents.
• Prepare high-quality dishes and bake items from scratch.
• Assist front of house with dining setup and service.
• Manage budgets, audits and stock control.
• Recruitment and retention of staff.
