Care Concern Group's Westwood Lodge Care Home in Wigan is seeking a hands-on Head Chef to lead the kitchen with passion for nutritious, high-quality meals tailored to residents' needs.

You will manage menu planning, food preparation, stock control and budgets, while guiding a dedicated team to deliver consistent standards and a positive dining experience. The role offers training, development and clear progression within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 (or equivalent) or working towards
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
• Proven experience leading or managing a kitchen
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• Good understanding of dietary requirements and food safety
• Proactive, reliable and quality focused approach

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen operations from menu planning to stock control and budgeting
• Prepare meals and ensure high standards of nutrition and presentation
